Finn is home!

Aunt Lissa writes:

Praise God! Finn came home today! Mom, Dad, Aunt Shalane, Uncle Jeremy, Gigi, Nannaw, Papaw, Aunt Lissa and especially J.T. were all there to welcome him home.

What a sweet little boy he is....such a cutie! We were all passing him around trying to get our chance to hold him. I have to admit, when it was my turn, I just couldn't keep my eyes off him. He is so adorable!

J.T. is going to be the best big brother ever! He was so cute with him. He calls him Baby Finn.....and you can already tell that they are going to be best buds! J.T. is sure to be a great helper to his momma too!

John sent me some new pics to post tonight. They are all from when he was in the hospital.....his first bath, him with Cody, his great NICU nurse and two more of him just looking cute! As I get more I will continue to post them. Until then, keep them in your prayers as they get used to the new routine, and life with two boys. They are all doing well, but there are still concerns and I'm sure there will be lots of sleepless moments for weeks to come as they are adjusting. Pray for peace, strength and sleep whenever possible. Remember John asked for each of you to pray specifically for Finn's healing and to claim God's promises for him. May God continue to be glorified through all of this! Please take time to leave a comment when you visit. I changed the settings so anyone can leave a comment now. I know that John and Meredith would love to hear from all of you!

We have once again witnessed the mighty hand of God. Why I still am amazed when I witness answered prayers and the unselfish response of God's people, is beyond me, but once again, I stand amazed. I left Shreveport thinking that I may be attending my grandson's funeral, but instead I have witnessed God's creation, His giving hands, His mercy, generosity, strength, peace, wisdom and most of all His love in thousands of people. Prayers have been lifted, God's loving hands have cared for Finn, friends have supplied meals for over a month and offered to help with JT. A special account has been set up to meet Finn's financial needs and people are still asking, what else can they do. Isn't that how our God is...He provides exceedingly and abundantly. I have looked into the face of Elohim - The Creator, El Shaddai - The All-Sufficient one, Jehovah-Jireh-The Lord Who Provides, Jehovah Shalom- The Lord of Peace, Jehovah Shammah - The Lord who is There, El Roi - The God Who See, and Adonai - The Lord...I will never be the same!! Finn, what an honor it is to be chosen by God to witness all that I have already seen and the miracles (provided by the Great Physician) I will witness in the future because of you! I can't wait to see all that God has yet to reveal and to tell everyone I meet, what a mighty God I serve. There is no limit to His power and my prayer is that that your life will be one that will forever be a witness of that mighty power. God bless you my precious little grandson. I love you very, very much.

What a wonderful miracle and blessing to be a part of! I hope Finn always stays as close to God as he is right now and he allows God to hold him as tightly as He is holding him now. John and Meredith, you have a real treasure on your hands, and the fact that you allowed God to use him so mightily for His glory is testament to your growing and abiding faith. Don't ever forget the blessings of God, even if others see it as horrible times.

John and Meredith, I saw this well known quote recently and thought of you: I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much. ~ Mother Teresa
